Solution guide for the most frequent problems in a Chinese stationary heater

Error E-01 Low voltage

It is one of the most common problems. When the heating comes, many times it is configured incorrectly and this error appears.

It is not because the battery is low or discharged., simply because it is configured at a different voltage than the one you have connected. If your battery or power supply is 12v your screen will be set to 24v, goes into, modify it and it will disappear.

This error can also appear due to low battery or voltage drop., for not using 6mm cable or making a bad connection. Check the manual assembly if you need more information.

How to know if the battery is in good condition?

Press the heating start button, immediately when the spark plug icon is illuminated on the screen press the OK button repeatedly until it shows the voltage of the battery.

If the voltage is 12.3v or higher, the battery is good.
If it is between 11.8v and 12.3v the battery would still be acceptable.
If it is less than 11.8v, it is a sign that the battery is not in good condition., it would have to be loaded.
Below 9.5/10v it will give you error E-01.

Solution:

  1. Charge the battery 100%
  2. If you still have the problem, after charging it, replace the battery.

Error E-02 High Voltage

Recently (November 2022) This error is appearing in many new heaters, especially brand ones. “VEVOR” This error appears because a 6mm cable is not used or a battery is in poor condition and the voltage drops below 9/10.00v at startup. (low voltage).
Although this error occurs because there is +15v in the battery, solving that., it would work properly again.

It needs a battery in good condition to work., and if it is used in a home, A power supply of at least 15/20ah is recommended. 30ah Any transformer you have at home won't work..

Error E-03 Spark Plug Failure / preheater

To check the spark plug, have 2 possibilities.

  1. Measuring its internal resistance with a multimeter should read between 0.6ohm y 1.0 ohm.
  2. Connect it to 12v for a few seconds, and I emphasize a few seconds because if we are much longer you will be burdened… It should be red hot.

If you are going to take it out you will need It is useful.

Many times, This error can appear due to Low Battery / tension fall, go to the menu where you see the battery voltage, turn it on, If it drops below 11.5v, surely that is the problem., charge your battery, check the wiring, Replace it with a thicker 4/6mm one and try again., If the voltage continues to drop 11,5 Consider replacing the battery and checking all the connections carefully if you think it is okay because something is happening..

If everything above is correct and the error continues to appear,-03 The problem is in the circuit that detects the spark plug., The solution is to replace the switchboard

Error E-05 Overheating

This error is quite common, It usually occurs due to poor installation.

To avoid this error, or solve it you have to avoid sharp curves, or tubes that are too long both at the entrance, as in the hot air outlet.

Due to lack of knowledge, pronounced curves are usually made at the hot air outlet..

Solution:

  1. To avoid this problem. You should avoid bending the hot air outlet tube at least 10cm from the heater., and that the curve was not higher than 90 degrees.
  2. You can check if the problem really is that, disconnecting the tube completely and leaving a free way for air circulation.

Error E-06 engine failure

If it is nueva It is most likely that during transport the axle has been displaced due to an impact., and the propeller is touching against the control unit or against the casing. If you try to turn it and it is blocked, you know why it is.

You can adjust it by hand, you don't need any type of tool, it's going hard, but it moves. With this image you can get a clearer idea of the procedure to follow..

extractor propeller e-06 Chinese heating error

You also might not have trimmed the floor properly. (carpet, madera etc..), and when the plastic casing of the heater touches the floor it deforms and the propeller rubs or blocks.. Or you have overtightened the mounting screws. Just try loosening them a little., dismantle it, and trim the ground well.

It is also possible that the wiring has poor contact, the motor connector is loose, or the battery voltage is insufficient to make it rotate at the revolutions necessary for starting. (Check that when you press on, the voltage does not drop below 11.5v.) If this happens, change the power cable for a 6mm one., the one that goes from the battery to the fat heater connector, replacing the original cable.

It may also be the case that it is the other way around., the propeller rotates normally but it is not detected, Instead of extracting the propeller it would be the opposite to push it (without going over) so that the control unit sensor detects it.

If it has already been working previously, and it doesn't touch the problem, it's almost certainly the battery., if you have relay, Turn on the van's engine and you'll see quickly if it's solved.. Also, due to wear the propeller may now be touching the casing, A slight adjustment should be enough to solve it..

Solution:

Check wiring, and that the connector connection is in good condition.

Move the propeller shaft by hand, This should rotate very smoothly., and without friction of any kind.

It goes hard, she stopped, we take off the lid, y propeller pull outward or inward.

Check the battery voltage by pressing the OK button repeatedly until it shows the battery voltage. It must always be higher than 11.5v, because if it drops below 11.5v at startup it will almost certainly not start, lack of voltage also causes this error, in addition to others like the E-04.

Sensor Hall, another reason why we have error E-06 It happens especially if we dismantle the control unit to tinker with it.…….. Then when you mount it, the sensor is outside the hole, which keeps it in the correct position.. These components are usually crushed and left out of place., which causes the control unit to not detect the engine RPM.

Error E-07 Communication failure between screen and control unit

The first thing would be to check if your heating has the appropriate control unit for your screen., There are already several cases in which I have found that due to the manufacturer's error, they mount a screen incompatible with your switchboard at the end of this post, I leave you the relationship between screen & switchboard so you can check it.

Another possible cause of this error, is that at some point in the wiring, the blue screen wire does not make good contact, take out the connectors, put them back, put some contact cleaner on them if necessary, or measure the voltage between the blue and black wire, It should mark around 3v.

If 3v reaches the blue wire, or the screen is incompatible, or is it damaged, you would have to replace it here you can find the spare part.

If the voltage is 0, The fault could be in the switchboard or in the cabling.

If it has never worked, It could also be due to confusion on the part of the seller and he has installed a screen or control unit that is not compatible with your screen., When this happens it is usually because you have the CH4 screen, CH14 o CH17. Look at what switchboard you have and compare it with the photos at the end of this page where I tell you which screen it is compatible with.

Error E-08 Lack of flame, or combustion failure ( White smoke )

It may seem obvious.. but you have verified that you have diesel??? How many times have I found that the problem was that?. :p

Without a doubt this error is more common in this type of heating., occurs when a warm temperature comes out through the air outlet, and through the exhaust pipe, a big white smoke.

It may be due to an obstruction or difficulty in the passage of air in the exhaust pipe., muffler, due to poor assembly, too many curves on the circuit, soot in the combustion chamber or because you are at more than 1800m altitude without changing the setting or your battery does not have enough power to light the spark plug, or even that for some reason you have air bubbles in the fuel circuit.

The first thing is to modify the configuration for the height mode. In it 80% of cases solves the problem.

If you live at an altitude close to 1500m above sea level, It is possible that over time, due to poor combustion, soot has formed, which is why the heating has been working well for you until now..

Don't be alarmed by the smoke, especially if it has suddenly stopped working and it is getting inside you, the van is not waterproof, and making a cloud of smoke outside, somewhere it will end up entering inside even if it's just a little.

If the smoke thing has happened to you, It is not good to insist on restarting it without first solving the problem., since the diesel does not burn completely, creates carbon (more than you imagine) and little by little it floods the combustion chamber, making it difficult to start once the problem is solved..

If you have come this far, you've probably tried turning it on 20 times, your exhaust pipe is leaking diesel, the battery is shaking due to the consumption of the spark plug, and you have cursed the day you decided to save €800 by buying this Chinese shit.

Bueno, Don't worry, It is rarely a fault in the control unit or LCD control and you can solve it,

Causes:

Being at height, Due to poor combustion, carbon is created., it doesn't burn well, and the flame goes out, being impossible to turn it back on.

Solution:

  1. The first thing is to check the voltage: pressing the OK button repeatedly until it shows it on the screen, it should be higher than 12.3v with the heating off and higher than 11.4v once we turn it on., If it is lower, charge the battery, If it continues happening, replace it.
  2. Adjust the values of the control unit with the values that you will find here according to your heating model: Ver

Now we must test the ignition, Surely a lot of smoke will start to come out and we will have to make several attempts. If we notice a change in the sound, BINGO! we already have it.

It is totally normal that it does not turn on the first time, since it is flooded with diesel.

If the voltage is below 11,5 while turning on, y You can't get it to turn on test with the engine running.

If none of this has worked, your heating will be full of carbon, The air does not flow properly or is poorly assembled, then, You can try to clean it by putting pressurized air through the intake pipe and, if possible, then through the spark plug hole..

Yes after following this guide, still not working, powerful contact me and I will try to help you.

Error E-09 Temperature sensor failure

Causes:

Although it is a failure of the temperature sensor, It does not always have to be a failure of this, Most likely the power cable you use is too thin, you have lengthened it, have a bad connection, is rolled up on itself, or the battery is in bad condition.

For some of these reasons, the voltage drops below the minimum for starting 11.5v and can manifest itself by marking many errors that have nothing to do with them.. The reason is simple, That voltage already tells you that the battery is either discharged or dead and will not work..

Solution:

Check the wiring, all the points mentioned above, shorten the cable and leave about 10cm, and send him a cable as God intended, 6mm is advisable, it may seem like a lot, but we are working at 12v and not 220v here if it is stupid.

If you consider that all that is fine.. check the sensor cable, usually has 2/3 pins although only uses 2 cables, It could be that it was set incorrectly. (if you have 3 pines), what was loosed. You can measure its resistance with a multimeter, it should give approximately 60k at a temperature of about 21/22 degrees. About 17º it will be around 55/57k, This value will decrease depending on how cold it is at that time.

If you consider that the sensor is in bad condition, here do you have the spare part.

Error E-10 The heating has not detected heat in the 2 last boot attempts

Causes:

  1. LACK OF FUEL due to not being purged, or a cracked hose or filter
  2. Air in the fuel circuit
  3. Voltage drop in the power cable
  4. Low battery
  5. Clogged fuel pump
  6. Combustion chamber full of soot you can see here how to clean it.

Solution:

First you should check if white smoke comes out.. If smoke comes out, We rule out that the heating diesel pump is failing or that the diesel is not reaching it..

What voltage does your LCD screen indicate?? at standstill it should be higher than 12v (50% charging)

We press to turn on, the spark plug icon will illuminate, Low 11.5v? If it drops below 11.5v, it is probably the cause of the problem., since it will not have enough force to burn the diesel, and that's why white smoke comes out.

If all of the above is fine, maybe not configuraste and it's full of soot look how clean it.

At this moment the combustion chamber will be flooded with diesel., and dripping from the exhaust pipe, have patience, it will start and release a lot of smoke.

If NOTHING of what I have explained has worked for you, go to a gas station, and blow pressurized air into the intake tube, because it will be full of carbon.

Don't be tempted to remove the spark plug and connect it directly to 12V. (YOU WILL BREAK IT), If white smoke comes out it means it works, You will not be the first nor the last who has burned it doing that test., either when trying to remove it, or by overheating it.

What can it be??. saludos y gracias

Thank you so much

  3. Hello good !!

Ahora me sale error 10.

Tu bomba hace cleck / cleck ?
      Greetings.

      Greetings

      • Alexis González Norambuena 1 October, 2019 at 04:30

It is normal?

      Greetings.

    All the best.

Greetings!
